1997 Chevrolet Cavalier RS Coupe review from North America
"Taking a chance with this one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Entire front end needs repairing.
Brakes, calipers, ball joints, wheel bearings needed to be replaced.
Was recalled in 2004 by GM due to ignition issues.
Horn works about half the time.
Makes a good deal of noise upon startup. It quiets down when it's on the road.
Some steering and handling issues. Tire rods needed to be replaced.
General comments?
This model is questionable. Many used car dealers sell the Cavalier Coupe 1998-2000 models, and many of them may be considered lemons.
I bought it used, and immediately needed to charge the AC coolant, etc.
It's a sleek sporty looking car. I drive the black coupe and is in mint condition, very clean and spotless.
