2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport 4x4 review from North America
"Isuzu Rodeo Sport - P.O.S"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Since I've owned my Rodeo Sport, I've had the following problems:
1) Check Engine light came on @ 24,000 - it took the dealer 2 times to figure it was something wrong with the wiring inside the engine. They kept the truck for 8 hours to repair.
2) The instrument cluster lights have stopped working for the temperature adjustment knob. I have to turn on my map lights to see what temperature setting I have it set.
3) The CD changer has been replaced twice because it's a piece of crap. The wonderful 6-disc in-dash CD changer is crappy!
4) Every time I turn a corner, it feels like the truck is going to fall apart. I don't know what it is, but any sharp turns gives this horrible knocking sound. Ironically enough it never happens when the dealership test drives it. Go-figure?
I think that's all for now, but wait I'm sure more will occur soon.
General comments?
If you want an Isuzu for the great price and cool things they have - go for it at your own risk. I've driven two Honda's (93 Accord and 99 Prelude) and should have never traded for the Rodeo Sport.
I guess their run has ended since they no longer make them. For the love - I just can't win! Otherwise, have a great day. Again - Buyer Beware!
