2000 Holden Commodore VT Series 2 SS review from Australia and New Zealand
"5.7lt's of absolute fun!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not a lot has gone wrong with it since I have owned it. Needed a new water pump which was replaced by the dealer under warranty.
The engine check light comes on every now and again which is a common thing with VT's.
General comments?
The GEN 3 SS Commodores are awesome to drive.
220kw standard and so easy to modify. So far on mine I have fitted a twin 2 and a half inch exhaust, and a shift kit for the auto which makes it a little more fun.
Also have fitted FE2 suspension which has improved the handling ten fold, and is still a comfortable ride.
Soon to come is the LS1 Edit on the computer, custom CSV cold air intake and a set of stainless steel headers and GTO camshaft.
Don't be too scared by the high fuel prices. They aren't too bad on fuel. If your driving them hard around the city, they do chew a bit, but on the highway they are sensational.
If you want a car that is quick out of the box and EASY to make quicker look no further.
This is my third Commodore, and fourth Holden and I would not hesitate to buy another Holden product.
