This is not a comment, but if someone can help me on a question that I have on my 1993 Beretta GT. This car has 143,000 miles. on it. The problem I'm having is the car stalls out coming off the highway or freeway to a stop light. The car will start and go after this with no problem and it will do just fine in town if the speed stays under 50 mph. Otherwise, it has good power on the highway.

I purchase this car a couple of days ago just to use from home to work, saving the mileage on the other car.

If someone can e-mail me back to this address: duanebegay2003@hotmail.com I would appreciate all answers.

Thank-you.

1994 Chevrolet Beretta from North America

Summary:

This was a reliable car that was well built

Faults:

Leak in the trunk.

General Comments:

This was a great car that was recently destroyed in a rollover accident. A wheel flew off a semi truck and hit under my front wheel, causing the car to flip over and skid on its hood to the guardrail. The airbag deployed, the seat belt held, and I was able to crawl out with no broken bones or severe injuries. The car was still running (engine and electrical system) at the junk yard hours later, despite the front and back of the car being smashed by flipping. This was a well built car that ran reliably for years.

1994 Chevrolet Beretta Z26 3.1L V6 from North America

Summary:

Reliable and Quite powerful

Faults:

Nothing major wrong with the car.

The car tends to shimmy and shake when going excess speeds of 60mph, they said it was the brakes so we replaced them, It still shook, so we replaced rotors and got an alignment, still shakes, So were just going to get new tires.

Car hesitates at stop lights and acceleration doesn't seem to be what it could be, But were replacing fuel filter to see if that does the trick.

General Comments:

The doors are incredibly heavy, if you don't pay attention they can literally smack you down.

The car itself seems heavy, But I feel safe in it because it is built like a tank, I feel as thought I could plow through anything in the road.

Sexy looking car. In pictures the paint looks brand new and unbeleiveably shiny, but when you get up close, its got a lot of peeling paint. But the ground effects on the Z26 models really set the whole look of the car off.

I love Berettas. I have a 1994 Beretta Z26 in the bright aqua, which is the ultimate color for the Z26!!! This car is extremely reliable, very quick, awesome on gas, and has great handling in the snow!! I've passed by 4x4s that were getting stuck!! LOL.

Oh and they're quite roomy as well.

It has 290,000 miles on it and runs like new!!! So if you're lucky enough to own one of these Z26s, hold on to it and consider it a privilege cause they're hard to find!!!

1994 Chevrolet Beretta from North America

Summary:

Well rounded car

Faults:

Alternator was replaces around 100,000 MI.

While I was installing the Alt. I also decided to change the plugs and wires, but didn't really need too (Preventive Maintenance)

I have to keep seat covers on now cause of wear (but haven't worn through seats yet)

Trunk collects some moisture, but nothing damaging.

General Comments:

Well I love my Beretta cause it is a nice car despite that it has been hit 4 times and vandalized once (by the way body work is a rip off). But none my fault, and surprisingly enough I have never had to have it towed and was drivable after each incident. So that tells you somthing about how well they are put togeather!

My boss also loves my car because I have never been stranded or delayed because of car trouble. So if I was late it was because of me.

Overall I would recommend to anyone that is looking at a beretta that they get it because if they take care of it they will have little problems with it. It handles great and I do agree with the old slogan for Beretta's that "the car that bites the road back".

Only downfall I find is as a person that stands at 6"5' it is a long ways down there to get in and out. This also accounts for the extra wear on my seats.
