"Would definitely buy another"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

ABS, had it repaired at the dealer 3 times and still doesn't work. At first it was a faulty wire, and then the entire wiring harness and then the sensor.. all in all $600 (cnd) it still doesn't work.

Power windows are starting to slide off their tracks.

The climate control never seemed to be very good. Luke warm for hot and Luke warm for A\C. Its as if it only has one setting!

Terrible idle\acceleration problem. Some kind of sensor is gone I suspect. Have had the plugs, wires and fuel filter replaced in the car twice in the last two years to try and fix the problem.

Its acts as if it is starving for fuel when I press on the accelerator. It bogs for a few seconds and then takes off as if I had it half down! When taking turns at a considerable amount a speed, it completely bogs out! It idles sometimes like its misfiring.

It has had this problem ever since I've owned it. If anyone has had this problem or has heard about it, please let me know.

Center console is broke, cheap plastic.

Stereo could have been better.

Drinks a lot, buts that to be expected. Its hard not to keep your foot down in this car!

General comments?

Great looks! Especially with a front end piece.

Great exhaust note!

Fast! Great motor! (knock on wood)

I have put over 82000kms on this car in the last 2 years and it has been the best car I have ever owned for reliability. I would absolutly buy another!

Great car.

The problem with the idle is not a sensor or plugs & wires related. It is, in fact, bad intake manifold gaskets. The gaskets leak vacuum which causes the engine idle to fluctuate greatly (two to three thousand RPM's) until the motor heats up, the metal of the manifold expands and seals. I had the same problem with my '95 Z34. The dealer will charge you around $500 to do the job. I did it myself. All it cost me was $75 for the gaskets. If you don't know much about cars, I would recommend taking it to the dealer. The new gaskets have thick rubber surrounds that make the bolt holes for the manifold-to-cylinder head bolts not line up correctly (I cross-threaded one bolt and had to re-tap it). Hope this helps you out.

Had sameproblem with vacuum seals at 70,000, cost 475.00 at dealer. I'm at 107,000 no problem since. In cold weather recently started running choppy. interior on doors is falling off and plastic moldings around windows on the inside falling off too. Really this car has a beautiful ride and is a good car generally.
