"Hello GM goodbye Toyota and Nissan!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Replaced serpentine belt 191000.

Replaced door handle on 3rd door (extended cab door) 198000.

General comments?

This has been a great truck so far. I had to replace the serpentine belt when I first purchased the truck because the previous owners hadn't changed it in 4 years and it was cracked and worn (typical belt wear). The door handle broke on the extended cab door, but it was very inexpensive and easy to replace. My biggest complaint with the truck is the thirsty 4.3 V6, but hey I knew that when I bought it. This truck has lots of power at almost 200000 miles! Pulls a boat and camper with no problems. Very peppy engine! The interior is in great shape as well as the exterior. This truck has a smoother, quieter ride than my wifes 2002 Mazda Protege (just ask her).

I had until recently owned a Nissan Sentra and a Toyota pickup. The Toyota was just pure crap!! It always gave problems and was never a dependable ride. The Nissan was better, it never left me walking like the Toyota did on several occasions.

I think GM has come a long way in recent years and the best is yet to come. I might would consider another Nissan, but Toyota will never get another penny from me. My heart is set on Chevy for now. This is the 4th Chevy I have owned and they have all been GREAT!!!

Please Toyota lovers, no hate mail. If you like Toyota then buy Toyota, but don't try to change my mind because it isn't happening.

I agree with you 100%. I owned a 1990 Toyota truck with a little over 100000 miles on it and I had it in the shop many times. Also my uncle owned a Toyota van and it was junk!! He finally sold his van and bought a Ford Ranger and he loves it. Myself I sold my Toyota truck and bought a Dodge truck and I haven't had to do a single thing to it except regular oil changes and such. My uncle and I both vowed we would never buy a Toyota again. Which reminds me, I think my father in laws Camry is due out of the shop today!!! p.s. I always take very good care of my vehicles. They always get serviced when due.
