I’m getting ready to purchase a 92 Chrysler Lebaron and hopefully it will run for a while for me because I plan I driving it everyday. I also plan on sleeping in it in the summer; I prefer to sleep in my car in the summer, but I really hope it lasts me a while. I’m turning down leasing a newer car in favor of this offer. I’ll post about how it plays out; I know the radio is missing already, and the tires are old and it will need brakes replaced, and the top does work but it leaks, but I can sew a patch that will be watertight.

Your stated preference to sleep in a 30 year old convertible with a leaky top would raise questions about your actual living quarters... if any.

Very strange comment. Not to be rude or anything, but is this comment legit?

I’d assume they plan on sleeping with the top down if it’s not raining. So, the leaky part is irrelevant.

Good news for you: you don't have to break out that sewing kit cos 2:30 commenter assumes it will always be dry weather whenever you sleep in the ole Lebaron, so those top leaks are "irrelevant".

So you are saying you would sleep in a convertible with the top down while in the rain while holding a sewing kit? Not sure I understand.

Uh, no. I have never slept in a car, convertible or otherwise, nor (unlike you, apparently) would I ever want to.

I took a convertible to a drive in. Did everything in it except sleep.

So, who would sleep in it with the top down while it is raining, as you implied in your initial comment?

Are you referring to a drive in movie? Sometimes if the film is boring enough, people do fall asleep.
