1989 Citroen AX GT review from UK and Ireland
"Most underrated hot hatch ever!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electrics. The electrics are very poor on AX's, mainly due to poor earths.
Heater matrix (still not fixed!).
Nothing else major.
General comments?
This car is very, very quick for the size of the engine. It also has great handling which can be made even better with a set of 15's and lowering.
The best thing about the GT is it's fairly rare and generally cheap. It can beat all the Saxo VTR boys.
The GT may not be built very well, but it adds to the character of the car, something it has plenty of!!
The spec is also very good for the cost (I paid £650 for mine).
Electric windows.
Tilt, remove sunroof.
Sports seats.
Body kit.
Central locking.
I really love this car and would recommend it very highly. So much so I have made a web site on my own. Check out... www.axgtperformance.co.uk
to get info and see what I have done to mine.
