1993 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback 5.0 from North America

I bought my car new in 1993, and at 15,000 miles my clutch started chirping. I took it to the dealer and the throw out bearing was replaced.

I still own the car, and at 171550 miles, I'm STILL having problems with the whole clutch assembly. Now, my car will not go in and out of gear at all.

Ford has really screwed up! I have a 1985 Ford Mustang GT that has NEVER given me ANY problems. I think it's the 10.5 inch clutch on my 1993 that has been the chirping headache!

I love the sleek look of my 1993 fox body, but I HATE the screwed up job Ford has done.

My advice: if you buy a Ford... buy an automatic!!

1993 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 from North America

This Mustang has been awesome, with 169,000 and still running strong what more can you ask for. I am the original owner and I have not had any major problems with the car. Only the usual normal things i.e., brakes, tires, batteries.

My car still has the original alternator and starter still on it. Again this car has been awesome and I hate to sell it due to buying a new truck.

General Comments:

Awesome acceleration and cornering.

1993 Ford Mustang LX Hatchback 2.3 Liter from North America

Should have saved my money

Muffler Rusted through and had to be replaced.

Radiator replaced.

Major leaks from sunroof and door seals.

Drivers side windows broken won't go up or down.

Hatch Shocks no good.

Power steering pump replaced.

General Comments:

This car looks a lot better from a distance than up close.

Interior is starting to go due to leaks and weather conditions.

2.3 4 Cylinder engine doesn't have much get up and go.

Nice looking ride, but very uncomfortable for someone over 6 feet tall.

Shakes a lot and is very loud.

You should have bought a car with a lot less miles on it and maybe a 5.0 in it for the performance and handling you seem to be missing. All of the complaints you have are due to its age and how well it was maintained before you had it. I had two 5.0 Mustangs and they were great cars. I stored the second one in the winters and it looked like a showroom car when I sold it at 7 years old. In fact, I had flowmasters put in when it was 5 years old and they couldn't believe how clean the existing exhaust was when they checked it out for the conversion. It is all in how you take car of your car!

I have owned my 1992 Mustang LX 4 cylinder, and I bought it with 57k, and now I have 230k, and the car moves.

I've replaced the transmission at 190K, module, radiator, fan and the car hits 85 rather quickly.

It's a great car if has been taken care of. I never had any leaks from the weather stripping.

Most people say it's a pile of crap, while I disagree, It gets great gas mileage and power breaks very well, and I have videos to prove it.

It's a sad 105hp and 135 foot pounds of torque. I replaced the exhaust at 60K and Y piped it to a dual exhaust Flow Master, and it's never rusted or given me a problem.

I absolutely LOVE the car!!

No mechanical problems since I have owned it.

My white, leather seats are showing wear - were like that when I bought it. Convertible top showing wear.

General Comments:

My car is seasonal - living in Minnesota requires storing my precious gem for 5-6 months each year.

It has a reef blue exterior with titanium trim and a white leather interior, black dash.

It is very small inside, but FAST on the outside!!! I didn't buy the car for comfort, I bought it for fun and its legendary existence!!!

I LOVE the car!!
