Summary:

I would buy another one in a second

Faults:

As of this date nothing except brakes and a battery.

I've never had a problem with the car in all the years I've had it and I must admit that I have driven the car hard, straight to the floor with the gas pedal and it still cranks and drives like it did the day I bought it.

General Comments:

I would buy another one in a second.

This has been a great car for me, it's never let me down (knock on wood). I've been all the way across the country in this car and everywhere else you can imagine.

I think the engine might need a bit more pep for steep inclines.

I'm considering buying a 1994 Geo Metro XFi. So far, the comments I've read are reassuring.

Your review, however, was particularly eye-popping. 475,000 miles? Is that on one engine? Or is it a typo?

Summary:

Gas saver BIG TIME

Faults:

Well nothing much, I've had a wheel bearing go out on me and a hose busted, besides that nothing.

General Comments:

I've got the stripped model Metro which comes with nothing but 2 seats, a gear shift and a standard instrument cluster. When I bought the car for $4500.00 I even had to come home and install my own radio.

I bought this car for the gas mileage expecting it to last for a few years, 3 at the most but it has really surprised me in the fact that it's been the most reliable car I've ever owned, even more so than my 96 Honda Civic.

The weather is a bit hot these days so I really don't drive it in the hot seasons, but all winter long it's on the go non stop. I'm thinking of getting another one next year.
