1992 Honda Accord LX 2.2lt gas from North America

Summary:

A great bargain as long as you get a good price

Faults:

I have only had one problem with this car, there is a little under paint rust bubbling up. However I do live where there is a lot of salt used due to the winter conditions, just about every car around here has the same problem. This also happened in my Prelude by the passenger side rear tire.

General Comments:

I think Honda's are great cars. I have owned 2 personally, my father just bought a 2004 Pilot and my mom owns a 1995 Oddyssey.

The accord has good handling as long as you're not trying to race around a super sharp curve, and has good pick up when I try to merge.

1992 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder-2.2 Liter from North America

Summary:

A great car for its age

Faults:

Sensor in catalytic converter shut the car down without warning, left me stranded, and I had to pay $250 to have it repaired. The headlight bulbs keep burning out when I use a bulb that produces a very high quality light. The electric windows on the drivers side both front and rear suddenly stopped working and when I found out what it will cost to repair them, I decided I'll not fix them. I had to have the axles replaced after I had owned the car for about a year.

General Comments:

I can't begin to tell anyone who will listen how fast this car can be, especially after I had the axles replaced. I can still beat my girlfriends 2003 accord off the line, but she catches me before I can reach the quarter mile mark. The exterior paint has held up very well. It doesn't take much wax to keep it looking very good. The way this car can go from 55mph to over 110mph can really impress anyone who is watching.

1992 Honda Accord EX from North America

Summary:

Your first car should be a Honda.

Faults:

No major problems other than regular wear and tear.

Replaced brakes, alternator belt, battery, and muffler.

General Comments:

This is by far the absolute car/ brand ever. I've had it for 9 years with nothing, but the required minimum maintenance. The car survived New England winters and after I relocated is still kicking in Sunshine-friendly Florida.

The car is slowly dying, though. My next car will be an Accord and nothing less...

1992 Honda Accord EX 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Very dependable and fast!

Faults:

The only thing that I have replaced are the headlights they both blew for some reason.

General Comments:

This was a great car until someone ran into me and totaled it. This car ran great! I loved it! This car rode really smooth and had great performance. I got it up to 115mph more than once and usually took off like I had a V10. I really miss my car. I now have a 1991 Honda Accord Lx. This car has 120,000 miles on it and runs great, but looks like crap. I recommend Honda's for anyone who wants a nice fast dependable car!

1992 Honda Accord EX V4 from North America

Summary:

A well-built workhorse

Faults:

(Special note: this was a rebuilt accord)

The engine parts became rusted under normal wear and tear at 80,000 miles.

Intakes began sucking air at 80,000 miles, causing the car to stall when stopped.

Dashboard warning lights did not operate correctly in warnings for oil and fuel levels.

Windshield washer reservoir cracked and leaked when temperature dropped below 0 degrees Fahrenheit (at 92,000 miles)

General Comments:

Excellent performance, especially in traction, gas mileage, and commuter driving.

The Accord handles smoothly at high velocities (interstate/ freeway driving).

The turning capability is very easy to control, and thus the car turns sharply.

Slow acceleration.
