What things have gone wrong with the car?

Burned oil so bad after 130,000 miles, had engine rebuilt.

General comments?

Small & cheap. Change oil every 2,000 miles. Bounces a lot going down highway (light & cheap). Engine struggles after getting 3 more people in car (lawnmower engine).

If you properly take care of your Honda it won't be like that. Mine has over 200 000 on it and still can give a Neon (R/T) a run with 4 adults weighing 200 a piece in it. And it isn't an Si model.

"light & cheap"

Exactly, this is why it is a base model of a cheap brand. It's light and underpowered so it gets good gas mpg. If you wanted balls you should have picked a V6 or V8. Maybe a Camaro?
