"Honda should be responsible for the manufacturing defects"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The drive side door lock was replaced due to a manufacturing problem within the second year I bought this car.

Now the SRS light came on without any reason. The car didn't have any accidents.

General comments?

2002 CRV seems to have reliability issues. Or maybe I just bought a brand new lemon.

Let's see

1. door replaced under warranty

2. SRS light on which should be fixed under warranty as safety item.

Nothing else

not too bad.

I'm also wondering what the big problem is. The CR-V is just a machine, and as such, isn't perfect. The vehicle's several years old and he's complaining about a bad lock and a stubborn idiot light. Please!! Let that be worst thing to ever happen to ones car.

Lets see; front brake clips replaced 4 times under warranty for a clicking noise that we gave up trying to fix because there is no fix. SRS light also came on for no reason. Drivers door lock -- same issue. 126,000 kms, and now the steering pump seems to be going. Oh; interior plastic marks too easily, and wheel is worn out. Now it appears the crank seal is leaking oil and will cost a bundle if I repair it. I have owned many different cars, Domestic and Import, and this will be the first and last Honda. Cheaply built and over-priced.

I too had problems with my door locks. I didn't have keyless entry so I had to is my key to unlock the door each time. First it was the driver's side so I would unlock the passenger side and crawl over. Then it quit working so I had to unlock the tailgate, crawl to the back seat door to unlock it then unlock the driver's door. Then the tailgate lock quit working. After 2 hours of trying to get into my car, my brother bought me a keyless entry for Christmas. My CRV was out of warranty when the locks quit working.
