What things have gone wrong with the car?

Car has 150,000 miles on it. I just replaced the tranny + clutch w/hi perf models/custom gear ratios. Nothing else major has gone wrong in the 18 months/55000 miles that I have owned it.

General comments?

I love it. My baby!!! I just will not put my 13 month old daughter in it. It is definitely a deathtrap!!

Why is it a death trap? Does anyone know what year is the safest model, because my mom will only buy me one that is the safest year.

My e-mail is Bradlypo@hotmail.net, thank you for your time.

To be honest, the CRX is an unsafe car in the same way a motorcycle is unsafe. There's not a lot of protection IF you get into an accident. On the other hand, if you're a decent driver and are aware of the other cars on the road then you can avoid accidents better in a small car like the CRX than in a large heavy car with blind spots.

The 1990 and 1991 are supposedly the safest because they have side-impact beams in the doors, but honestly if I bought one I would probably still save up for a roll cage with door bars and racing seats and those 4 pt harnesses that just do up and undo with one click.

Also try not to get into an offset frontal crash (kinda hard to control what other idiots do on the road) or hit the front end into a tree cause it's not incredibly safe from the front either.
