2002 Hyundai Accent L 1.5 from North America

Summary:

An excellent bargain, great car, all my friends want one!

Faults:

Not a lot has given me problems on my new Accent. I did however had to take it in at 678 miles to have the tires balanced.

General Comments:

I love my new Hyundai Accent, and I would recommend it to just about anyone, it gets almost 40 mpg! I think that it is quite quick too, very quiet, compared to my mother's 2000 Hyundai Elantra, even has more comfortable seating than my grandmother's 2002 Hyundai Sonata. It even handles it self very well at speeds of over 90 miles an hour, handles and rides like a much bigger, heavier vehicle. I get almost 100 miles on my usual 5 dollar run to the gas station. All my friends want one too! Mine came with a/c in it as well, gets cold within about 20 seconds even in above 90 degree heat!

This is definetly a car you can beat the hell out of and have fun doing it too! I race those Honda Civics now and again, and they usually can't keep up!

I usually don't shift out of 1st gear until about 25-30 and second until about 45 and third until about 65 and so on, with this car, you almost never really need 5th gear, although I do use it on the highway.

This car is very attractive and you wouldn't figure it to have so much interior room and look so well designed, especially with a sub 10,000 dollar price tag. it has very dent resistant bumpers and body paneling too! I backed into a telephone pole (concrete base) at about 5 mph and it didn't even leave a noticeable scratch!

I would recommend this car to anyone, this has been my first car and I financed it for about 181 dollars a month and even got the 10 year extended bumper to bumper warranty! so go to your dealer and test drive one, even the Accent L (base model) (MSRP from 8,999), and I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised!

Race civics? That's funny, you're obviously a Hyundai dealer representative spreading propaganda, I will report you to the site admin.

Dear site admins, we need a better system of "proof", it's obvious some people will use this site for their own agendas, I suggest we get people to submit more personal information every time they post a review.

Cheers!

2002 Hyundai Accent 3 Door GS 1.6L from North America

Summary:

Sporty, fun, and worth every cent

Faults:

I have not found one thing wrong with the new 2002 Hyundai Accent 3 door GS. It's like a dream come true to finally own a reliable vehicle on a full-time college student's budget.

General Comments:

The 2002 Accent is unbelievably zippy for such a small engine. The 1.6 L, 106 horsepower, internal power-plant that is my engine gets me from point A to point B with class and value.

2002 Hyundai Accent 1.5L from North America

Summary:

One of the best deals on the market today!

Faults:

The car is still very new, so I have had no problems at all.

General Comments:

I am very pleased with this car. It is unbeatable for the price.

It seems very well engineered. All the joints (doors, trunk, fenders) are well made and meet perfectly. The interior seams are all very well done.

The car performs and handles very well, particularly for a smaller car. It handles like a car much larger. Even with a smaller engine, it performs well in the mountains and on the highway.

You cannot buy a new car for the price and the warranty is the best I have seen. To buy a used car for the same price I would have to look at something about 5 or 6 years old with over 60,000 miles.

The interior is very comfortable. The seats provide very comfortable support even for longer drives. There is excellent head and leg room, even in the back seat, although it is a little tight getting in and out of the two door design.

You are either misinformed or working for Hyundai.

I'd agree that the Accent is somewhat cheaper than, say the Focus, but not that much cheaper. A 1-2 year Focus is about the same price and the Focus has more room, drives better and has a larger engine. I'd stick with the Focus.
