1997 Hyundai Accent GT review from North America
"Piece of junk!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The paint is very thin, dents and dings come easily.
Timing chain tensioner broke bending my valves, and putting a hole in the head cover. The car was still under warranty, but it took three months to get the car back from the dealer.
The paint around the mirrors is peeling.
Metal sunroof deflector is rusted.
The plastic parts break easily and often.
Buying this car was the biggest mistake of my life.
General comments?
Gas milage is good.
The car looks sporty and handles fairly well.
Its almost paid for.
