2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"Stylish, but not worth $30k"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rotor problem. My steering wheel started shaking after 10k miles, fixed it at 13k miles.
It started shaking again at 18k miles, so I went to the dealer a week ago.
Thanks to www.carservey.org, I came to know that the rotor is like a known problem for Grand Cherokee Laredo, so I complained about this problem at the dealer, and they just replaced 2 front rotors by warranty.
Last time I fixed the rotor, it was not covered by warranty since the brake warranty ends at 12k miles, but this time they fixed it by warranty.
Sounds weird, huh? I guess they don't want to admit the problem and process official recall service.
So... Grand Cherokee owners, go to your dealer and complain! then they'll replace your rotors.
General comments?
Other than the rotor, I had several small problems with this car.
Those small problems are very annoying sometimes...
I would not recommend this car to anybody...
