"The biggest automobile mistake I've ever made"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Transmission shifted hard shortly after I bought it; when going from reverse to drive it would clunk into gear, thrusting the vehicle forward immediately. Occasionally shifts hard, and slips on take off and downshifting into first.

Transmission blew with 500kms left on warranty, brought it to a Dodge dealer and they fixed it for free.

Transmission continued to clunk, brought it back to dealer, they told me to change the transmission fluid, transfer case and diff fluids. Did that and $350 later, no change.

Seat recliner handle broke off.

Glove box broke open and won't stay shut.

Rear A/C plug stopped working.

Windshield wipers stopped working.

Interior light turns on sporadically, especially after making right turns and using the turn signal.

A/C Compressor blew. Seized the unit, broke the pulley, shredded the belt and sent crap through the A/C lines.

$3800 later and 2 weeks in the shop it's fixed, but now heat works on occasion, will not work unless vehicle is moving.

Fan modes 1 - 3 stopped working, leaving 4 for heat or A/C. $350 fix.

High pitch whining started coming from beyond the firewall somewhere just recently, I don't even want to know what it is...

General comments?

Purchasing this vehicle should be avoided at all costs!!!

Complete piece of trash, Dodge deserves to go belly up releasing this kind of crap.

Horrible on gas, average 13MPG at best.

NO interior space! Not recommended if you have kids... even just one. Seats are very uncomfortable.

Poor aerodynamics cause this vehicle to get blown around on windy days, and by oncoming transport trucks.

You should have googled the problem with your heat and A/C fan speed control. I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited too, and mine had the same problem. There is a type of card/resistor block behind the glove box that goes bad, a common problem on many vehicles. It ONLY cost $20 dollars and 10 minutes to replace.
