I bought my Kia Avella last October 2005. Until now I have the unit, but lately I can't find somebody to fix the engine. Sometimes it's normal, but now, most of the time, the engine gets going wild. It will reach even to 5000 rpm, then it will turn off. I almost consulted all of the Cebu car repair shops, but nobody could fix it. Can anybody help? Text me 09062054307

I had same trouble last time with a B5 engine delta but it went away when we changed the oil and filter.

It is from the speedmeter line. Try to disconnect it from gear box and drive. The tick will gone.

I have a Kia Avella Delta - 98. And there's quite a big problem with it, because when drive up a hill, the car just turns off without you changing any gears, or the gear is only in 1st gear. I consulted many mechanics on this topic, but no one has solved this problem. I'm hoping I can get some advice regarding this topic? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I have a Kia Avella from General Santos City. The car is good so far when it comes to gas consumption; my only problem is that when you turn the air con on, it suddenly drops the RPM very low, and if not turned off, it vibrates like it's going to turn the engine off. It's good without air con.
Can anyone suggest to me the possible issue and a solution?

Hi. I'm Denz from Davao. Just recently I had my Kia Avella engine top-overhauled, and it was good except that my fuel efficiency went from 12km/ltr down to 6km/ltr... what could have gone wrong with the engine repair? Hope you can give me some advice.

Hi guys, I'm Bonz. I have a Kia Avella here in Cebu. I've been driving it like 2 years already and it's all good...
But now a problem occurred when I was driving. The car went wild, and the RPM rises to 4k-5k, and when I hit gas, the engine will begin to die. When I turn the car off, it won't start and it smells like gas inside the car. Then I waited like 10 minutes and the car started again and was back to normal.
At first it happened rarely, but now frequently. Please help. I've been suffering from this for a year already. Anyone who has fixed this, please text me. 0926-6930141.

Hi guys, I'm Virgiel from Cebu. I just bought a Kia Pride (B3 engine). The problem is when I will turn on the air con, there's a knocking noise, but without air con, no noise at all. But even if there is a knocking noise, the air con still runs good. Please help me with this guys.

Try to find Jojo from YSK marketing. He troubleshoots Kia Avella and Prides. YSK marketing is near Transition Parts (Dacudao).

I think YSK only sells spare parts, but maybe you can try inquiring about a technician. I bought my my KIA Avella 1.3 last Oct. 10, 2010. I have a taxi driver driving Kia 1.3 for the last 5 years as my mechanic. He's very good and very honest, but he now lives in Kidapawan, North Cotabato. We bought our Kia Avella last 2013. The running condition is still good until now, but there's one problem; when it turns right or left, there's a sound like "takatak takatak"... Our mechanic suggested to change the ball joint CV joint, but after the repair the sound is still there. But when it is in neutral, there is no sound if you turn the wheel left or right.
I need some advice. I'm from Laguna.

I had the same problem sir. My mechanic told me that it maybe due to shortage in the gasoline intake. Therefore the injectors should be cleaned.
Also clean the air filter. In my case when I bought my Avella, the filter was empty; that is why my engine is prone to dust.

My neighbor sold their Kia Avella 2005 model B3 engine to me last July 2009 with a mileage of 196k. At first, I was having second thoughts about buying it, considering its mileage, but after doing a test drive, I decided to buy it since it was only 80k.
The aircon is okay, even during the middle of the day. During night time, I would turn on-off the thermostat coz it's really that cold.
The fuel consumption is 8-10km/liter city driving, depending on the traffic. On long drives its 14km/liter.
Ever since I bought the unit, I had repaired the alternator twice; each cost me 2,500. Next time I would buy surplus or reconditioning alternator to save cost and life span.
The engine is doing good, idling is good at 800rpm. I normally change gear at 1500rpm, but sometimes at 1800rpm from 3rd to fourth gear.
Overall, I don't have any regrets about buying a Kia Avella.
