1993 Lincoln Mark VIII review from North America
"Luxury performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator went at 110,000 miles, over $400 to replace (expensive).
Overdrive off button stopped working about 110,000 miles.
Replaced cooling fan motor and water pump at 96,000 miles, cost $650.
Front brakes can over heat if ridden to hard.
General comments?
Car performance and handling are great.
Exterior design and interior have stayed current.
Maintenance costs seem reasonable.
Vehicle depreciates quickly however I have not understood why. Cost new about $40,000; I purchased 3 years old for $17,000; at 10 years old its value is about $6,000.
