1995 Mazda 626 LX from North America - Comments

"Very good up to this point"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

In last 2 months the car would cut out while traveling at low speed or coming to a stop. When put into park, it would start straight away.

I'm living in Ireland now, but the car was purchased in Florida. Mechanics here cannot find out what is causing this problem. Has anybody got any advice?

The car may go for up-to 7 days without cutting out, but may also cut out a few times in 1 day.

Thankful for any help. Galway, Ireland.

I have also the same problem with my 95" 626 LX about four years ago. The Mazda dealer said it is most likely to be the idle control valve. He said the valve over time will collect a carbon build up inside and the computer for the engine will sense a problem with the control valve and shut it off. The only thing I have found to fix the problem next to having the valve replaced for around $500 is to use Valveline (Once a year) complete fuel system cleaner brand not the every 3000 mile brand. I have used the cleaner once every year and not have had a problem sense. I hope this will help you.

It could also be your filter of your fuel or your pump going bad.
