1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 review from North America
"Cheap, reliable comfort - and safe!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing every went wrong with the car while I owned it. It always had a very slight smell of gasoline, which was annoying. I have heard that this is common with the carburetor on the 307s.
General comments?
This car was great. My mom has an '84 Delta 88 that she bought a few years ago with 19,000 miles. It has been a great car, so I bought this one for $1,500. I over payed a lot, but even so it was worth it for about two and a half years of trouble free driving. The car used a lot of gas, but was very comfortable. The air conditioning was colder than on any of my family's newer cars. Amazing condition and reliability for a car with so many miles. I love big cars, and these Olds/Buick/Cadillac-brougham types are the best of the lot. I've had a lot of Caprices, but these are better.
