Engine. The engine would not start, the EMS indicator being illuminated. This fault has not yet been rectified.
Indicator. The indicator would not "latch" when turning right, the indicator was replaced by a main dealer. The replacement indicator has now failed - it won't cancel and sometimes indicates left or right by itself.
Passenger side water jet failed, replaced by dealer.
Boot lock won't engage - sometimes I have to slam the boot 3 or 4 times to get it closed.
Banging noise from underside of vehicle on drivers side. There is a banging noise from underneath the vehicle that happens when turning a sharp corner at slow speeds. The dealer has had a look and has not been able to diagnose the fault.
Oil Guage. The oil guage does not work properly - somestimes it says the oil is full, sometimes empty and sometimes anywhere in-between.
Speakers. The original speaker were pathetic. I have replaced them with after market units.
Recalls. Despite the numerous occasion that the vehicle was with the local main dealer it took a different main dealer to notice that there were 3 recalls outstanding on the vehicle.
Cabin squeaks. There are several squeaks and rattles in the cabin - very, very annoying although they are intermittent.
Apart from the faults with the car I am generally pleased with the vehicle - it has a great driving position and handles well. The engine isn't as powerful as I had hoped (90BHP from a 2.0 liter Diesel engine) - a friends 2.0 liter diesel Ford Mondeo blows the 307 away in terms of performance and acceleration.
Do you get any wind noise coming from the passenger side front door/windscreen area?
I have a new 307 (3weeks old) and it has an annoying whistle, although minor, at motorway speeds. Not good when you don't want the CD on, and just want some peace and quiet!
If you had the same, any idea where it might be from so I can stop driving the Mrs mad by asking her to keep sticking her ear in different places whilst I drive - I mean looking for the noise - nothing else!
