Ignition Barrel Recall.
Knocking noise (initially thought to be rear seat belt anchor point - adjusted by dealer)
Later found to be anti roll bars at front catching on engine sub-frame. No Peugeot recall - dealer has to periodically adjust back into position. Known fault by Peugeot.
Cracking noise coming from suspension. Again known fault, dealer adjustment.
Gearbox end-plate leaking.
Clarion Single Slot CD/Radio Looses stations.
Roof Aerial ceased on. Could not remove for car wash.
Cabin is very comfortable.
Does not handle as well as previous Two 306's.
Excellent storage spaces.
The 1.6 Petrol engine (115BHP) does not perform as well as other in its class.
Car seems too heavy.
Peugeot have let owners down with these early problems.
Thanks for the review. I own a 307 HD110, it's my 2nd 307, previously had a 307 HDi90. On both I've had a clunking noise which sounds like it comes from the left passenger side suspension, as it seems more predominant when going over bumps. This has been a fault on both cars, the first one had new engine mounts, top and bottom and new exhaust clamps. The new one has been back to the dealer and they've ordered new clamps, but having read your report I now wonder if it's the anti roll bar fault or the suspension fault, so I now at least have something to go on... as you know it's frustrating when you get the car back with the same faults.
Thank you very much for the information. My wife has one as well. It give from new nothing, but headache. The indicator has changed 4 times fault known as COM2000. Now it is leaking oil from the engine. She is going to get rid of it before the warranty runs out. 307 was a bad choice for us. Yucel.
