1993 Pontiac Grand Am SE review from North America
"Decent car for single guy or married couple"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
45000 miles torque converter lock-up solenoid went. spent about $25 for new solenoid... and while I had the pan off I changed AT fluid and filter.
Blower motor for AC/Heat doesn't blow hard... tore apart dash and check vacuum lines and vac controlled door. Still not blowing hard, I think the vent came off near fire wall in blower motor housing.
Drivers side window regulator broke, of course they were riveted and not bolted. Cost me $400. at dealer.
Power steering pump making a rattle/knocking sound, bearings worn. Took one from a bone yard for $30.
Oil pressure sensor blinks on and off, working fine, but need to replace.
General comments?
Even though the car was neglected for years it still looks OK and actually runs strong and rides nice.
