2000 Saturn LS LS1 review from North America
"Low cost--high dependability!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Automatic door lock when reaching over 8 mph malfunctioned at 45,000. Trunk frequently requires being closed multiple times before it actually shuts. Windshield wipers have very obnoxious noise (though I've heard they have been recalled) Other than these minor things nothing has gone wrong! This was a true surprise.
General comments?
I was not excited about owning a Saturn, but had to b/c of cost issues. This car has good miles per gallon which is a good choice in this economy. Overall I was VERY pleasantly surprised and would definitly recommend this car to anyone needing a reliable car on a budget. In the 3 years I've leased it I have never ever had a major motor problem and it has never left me stranded. I'm not buying another, but if I needed to I would not be quite as reluctant as I was the first time.
