2005 Saturn VUE Red Line 3.4L from North America

Summary:

I like the look and the performance

Faults:

No real problems have occured. Only one complaint and that was the horn.

General Comments:

I am in process now to replace the horn with something that has some db's to it. Going down the freeway or in some other situations, the horn could be louder to get the attention of the other person.

2005 Saturn VUE RedLine 3.5L by Honda from North America

Summary:

Redline Vue is really fun to drive

Faults:

Air conditioning went out. Took it to dealer, they gave me a free rental. Picked up the car the next day, all is fine.

General Comments:

Very nice SUV, very quick and electronic turning system rocks.

Styling is awesome, I catch a lot of people checking it out and starting conversations about it.

2005 Saturn VUE AWD V6 3.5 V6 from North America

Summary:

Functional and fun to drive

Faults:

Nothing. It may be too soon to tell, but in the 2100 miles I've driven the car, it has performed well.

General Comments:

I love this vehicle. Saturn has done a good job building a sport utility that is pleasing to look at, reasonably economical, powerful, practical, and functional.

The interior is largely plastic, but for about $25k these days, it's hard to expect much more.

The polymer side panels are a real plus, both to save weight, and improve the car's durability. My 8-year old SL2 still looks great without the dings that one would expect in an all-metal car.

The Honda V6 is the best. It's smooth and powerful. I test drove the 4 cylinder model, and found it had a hard time getting out of its own way. The V6 makes all the difference. If you intend to pass other cars while climbing a hill, or towing anything, get the V6.

Just about every car has difficulties in the first few model years. 2005 seems to have sorted things out.

Keep in mind that the VUE isn't a rock crawler like a Jeep Rubicon, but if you want to go skiing and have a comfortable ride over slushy roads, this is a good choice.

2005 Saturn VUE 2.2 gas 4cylinders from North America

Summary:

Excellent!!!

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

My vue is very comfortable and with the 4 cylinder engine, with 4 kids and 2 adults and the AC blasting ir rides like a dream. I hear no noises up to this point, I have taken it up mountains with no loss of power. I Live in NYC and there is a lot of traffic and the VUE drives like a dream. I honestly recommend this car. I get 26 MPH on the highway and about 20 in the City. Also Saturn has a policy that if you don't like the car up to 1,000 miles or having any trouble, you may return it. Thank you, Miguel.

2005 Saturn VUE V4 from North America

Summary:

Great SUV

Faults:

I just leased this car. I love it. Great ride. The 2.2 has enough to get up and go, but is nothing to write home about. The tires are key, I have seen some with low profile tires --stay away from them if you get a lot of snow... Go for the regular "hub cap" version. The interior is very, very, very cheap, however is very easy to understand. (Good for a new driver).. Now that I write this, this is a very safe SUV for a new driver (Young ones)...You can see everything, everwhere! The outside Mirrors are very big. I like this SUV. It has a very nice feel to it...This is coming from a person getting out of a 2004 V6 Toyota Salaro with 17 inch rims. I bet this VUE could out handle it...

General Comments:

This is a great car for the first time driver. Very, very safe with the side impct.

It always amazes me how so many people have to go out of their way to be a jerk.

Regarding the comment of being able to see all around and big outside mirrors. May be true, but new drivers - beware of the "blind spots" when looking out the side of the front windshield. The interior design where the outside mirrors are is quite wide and when you are turning, they create a blind spot on the side of the turn. Just be careful.
