"If you want German car build quality for French car money this is the one for you!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Numerous headlight bulbs have blown... but in fairness these were all replaced at dealer's expanse. The problem was finally traced to poor connectors which have also been replaced at dealer's expense. This is the only problem I have had... and it seems a shame really that a few extra pence spent on decent connectors at the time of manufacture have "blotted" an otherwise faultless "copy book"!

General comments?

Outstanding car for the money. Okay so it's no "speed machine", but saved me a fortune on fuel bills, is extremely comfortable, even on long journeys (and I should know as I cover about 22,000 miles a year in it) and is a Volkswagen Polo in all, but name.

I have been working as a Service Advisor for a Skoda dealer since January. I have also worked for 4 other makes and I must say that I have totally changed my opinion on Skodas! Before I started with Skoda I must admit I used to take the mickey out of them. NOT ANY MORE, infact my mum, my partner and my best friend are all now driving fabias. And with other new Skoda models on the way, I think 2005 is going to be a great year for Skoda.
