A Jeep dusting a Legacy GT. Now that's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

I’d like to see a Jeep Grand Cherokee take on a Legacy GT. Considering the weight of a Grand Cherokee, I’m surprised that the 235lb of torque can actually get the thing moving.

Just for the record unless you have a Hemi under the hood you’ll be lucky if you can do 0-60 in 7.0 seconds. The Legacy GT will do 5.8 (on average)

Well that depends on what Jeep you're talking about. The new Grand Cherokee SRT-8 has 415hp and 0-60 in under 5, so I doubt the Subaru GT-whatever could keep up with that.

Just ignore the 11 mpg you'll average "beating Subarus"

Jeep vs. Subaru? hahaha, you have to be kidding me. Maybe, they should try running Jeeps in the WRC and see what kind of results you can get.

Let's see. you don't seem to know much about Subarus. The New Legacy GT has a porche Boxser engine. It would eat and chew up that 235 HP Grand Cheerio you drive bud. The dodge has restrictors on them.. 100 mph is flat of what they'll do.. heh heh The bloody Forester 2.5 KT would eat that grand Mopar and its 224 HP ha ha!

Please don't post such disinformation. Subarus have NEVER had a Porsche engine. What it does have is an engine in the same design type, known informally as a boxer type. It is similar to saying my Ford has a V8 and my Chevy has a V8. Doesn't mean they are the same engine.

Do some research before attacking others. Oh, and the term is "Boxster" for the Porsche, something anyone who knew anything about Porsches would know.

Jeep beating a Legacy GT...

I LoLed.

Wow. What a good review followed by a very strange set of comments. Thank you to those who offered some correct information. Anyone who says their Jeep will beat something the Legacy GT category is about as ignorant as they come. It MIGHT beat a non-turbo Legacy off the line, but the Legacy, in any form, will out-handle the Jeep and will have a much higher (and safer) top speed.

I think you guys need to remember what kind of vehicles you are talking about. A legacy is absolutely not built for speed, but more for its handling. It would beat most on the dirt, but not on a drag race. 13.9 is nothing to be proud of and beating a stock mustang is about as cool as watching two dudes going at it. It doesn't get any better than an F-Body.
