Still have it. Got a rust hole in the left side "channel" welded. Cost less than 400 USD (about 3300 NOK). Changed the engine oil and filter recently. It has run almost 270 000 km / 170 000 miles now. Still going strong.

Still have the Corolla. Soon 285 000 km on the odometer. Changed front brake disks and pads recently. Bought it 6.5 years ago and the 23 year old car is still going strong. Uses some oil, so I have to watch that...

304000 km now. Through the EU check in June. 0 faults, again. The best and most reliable car I ever owned, and ever will, probably. Excellent quality. Due to heavily salted roads and humid climate in Norway, it will probably be killed by rust some day.

Simply the best car. :-)

Thanks for all the updates over the years. Good to know the car has served you well. A well maintained 1990s Japanese car is as good as it gets for reliability, even compared to today's cars. You're right you will have to watch for rust though at over 20 years old.

The 92-95 Corolla was the most trouble free Toyota ever made. Enjoy it.

Wonderful advertisement for Toyota reliability, especially given Norwegian climatic conditions and salted roads. Just shows how important regular maintenance and a quality vehicle is for long life. Keep it on the road.

It went through the EU check today with 0 issues needing repair, again.

That was not what I expected, since there is some rust here and there, and that the engine emits some oil (if it's not myself spilling oil on it when replacing oil and filter, which I sometimes did).

The experienced mechanic, that is in charge of the shop, said that it was the "world's best car". Due to his long experience with various cars, I asked him if there are other cars being about as reliable. He responded that it isn't, and that cars of comparable quality aren't made any longer.

I was rubbing and waxing the red exterior some days ago, which had turned pink or almost white, and the strong red colour reappeared. :-)

It has more than 315 000 km, or almost 200 000 miles now. For the 10 last years it has been mostly used for short trips in the small town where I live.

Still, it always starts, even last winter, when we had temperatures down to -23 degrees C / ~-10 degrees Fahrenheit.

I'm impressed by the Toyota Corolla. I have owned other European and Japanese brands, but the old Corolla is simply in a totally different league than the others, with respect to economy and reliability.

"Best car in the world" in terms of trouble free. Of course, it was still an econobox, not a luxury vehicle. I think it was one of the most reliable Toyota cars along with the 1999-2005 Toyota Yaris. That said, these cars needed suspension, steering and exhaust parts replaced quite often because the Japanese put weak bushings, dust boots, ball joints, tie rods, engine mounts and exhaust in their cars.

Due to a stay abroad (from August 2021), the Corolla hasn't been driven much lately. Anyway, it's still running fine. 319 000 km / 198 000 miles.

The '95 Corolla recently passed the EU check. The two only repairs needed were replacing the brake fluid and fitting a clamp holding the exhaust system.

It has about 322800 kms now, or just above 200 000 miles. Still impressed!
