This page is nice, but couldn't you put here any more technical details? I have got a Mark II Grande-G 2.5, Japanees rigth handed model. So what's the difference between this one and Tourer-S modification?

The only difference I see is the wings at the back of the

Mark II Tourer-V? That is one hell of a monster I would wanna cruise. I now own a Toyota Mark II Grande 1990, 2.0L Straight 6. Very quiet, but is really tortured by muddy dirt roads here in Uganda (East Africa). It skids at every mud found!

Fuel consumption, 1 liter to 9 kms, not very bad for a mileage of 120,000km.

Biggest problem I have, the car is smoking real bad and the engine oil indicator appears weekly after refilling engine oil. What could be the problem?

Anyone knows where I can get a Tourer-V, 2500cc Twin-Turbo, preferably black with a sunroof, cruise control, traction control, 4-ABS, 16 inch alloys and below 50,000kms?

Already for several years I used several Mark II Tourer Vs. I love this car and can't drive anything else. I'm from Russia and never knew one can import a right-handed vehicle to the U.S. Anyway I imported it directly from Japan. 1JZ-GTE with boost cut, fuel cut controllers, speed limit defencer and other stuff can produce more than 400 HP with only about $600 investments. With these modifications it drives on AT mission faster than a MT stock Supra. My results on 1.4 mile were 13.2-13.3 seconds on standard tires (not drag radials). Stock Supra does 13.5 at best. So my point is Mark, this flawless car, looking like a family sedan and performing like a tuned Supra is awesome for street racing... being a wolf in sheep's clothing :-)

I have had my 1993 Toyota Mark II Tourer V auto 1jz-gte (2.5 twin turbo) for 2 months and I can say it is the best car I have driven. I used to own a turbo Supra and this car beats it standard with ease, plus it comfortably fits 4-5 people unlike the supra. I bought it for $13,000 Australian and for that price nothing comes close to the performance and practicality of the car.

Anyone tested the 0-100km time on this car at all?

5th Jul 2005, 00:52

Does anyone have the timing for the JZX90 Mark II Grande 2.5 (A)?? I want to find out the 0-100 kph timing.

TQ.

I have a 1995 Mark II and searching for a body kit I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on that.

12th Mar 2006, 01:50

"I think stock 0-100km timing for mark2 turbo is 8.8seconds"

Hi just to correct that, I think you'll find the 0-100km time for the stock (non-turbo) Toyota Mark II Tourer S is 8.8 seconds. For the stock (turbo) Toyota Mark II Tourer V it's usually given as 6.5 seconds.

I need your assistance.

I know this may not be the most appropriate forum, but I have searched the Internet far and wide and CANNOT find what I need - Front TEMS suspension for a 1996 3.0L Mark II Grande (JZX-91).

I am based in the Caribbean, and no-one (company) seems to offer these shocks anymore or I keep getting the wrong one. Most of the sites I find on the Net are American-based, and they don't even have Mark II's in their domestic market let alone parts for them.

I'm trying to source them directly from Japan, from a trustworthy site/source, at an affordable price.

Any chance you can help?

I'm currently in Japan and just purchased a 93' Mark II Tourer V automatic with full custom exhaust. I was just wondering where I can get an owners manual in English, preferably off the web, and approx. how much is the damage to send one back to the states.

I have lived in Japan for about 8 years now... had a Corolla (POS) and a 1993 Nissan Skyline GTS-T. Prior to that I had a 1973 Chevy Impala, 1969 Dodge Charger W/383, a 1986 Mazda RX 7, a 1973 Dodge Challenger, 1995 Pontiac GTA, 1968 Plymouth Satellite, a 1970 Dodge Coronet w/383 and a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT V8. As you can tell... I love Cars/Trucks/Planes (I'm a mechanic) Motorcycles too (My wife won't let me have one) Anyways... I just bought a 1993 Toyota Mark II Tourer V...it's lowered with 18inch tires and wheels with a body kit... quite simply the best car I have ever owned!!! I have missed my '69 Charger and '70 Coronet, but I never imagined that I would fall in love with another car! I am back in the car game!!! I thought I would be a responsible adult and just commute to work... but the boss (wife)said I could buy something and this just appeared. It's the dark Metallic Green with huge rims. I love it!!! I used to hate driving, but I keep finding excuses to jump in and listen to the twin turbos kick in! I want to bring this back to the states with me... anybody know what's up with that?

Good to hear there are more and more people realising what an awesome machine this car is. Last year I managed to get my dirty hands on a '92 Tourer V mark 2, with a 1JZ-GTE 2.5 twin turbo under the lid. Picked it up from an import dealer for AU$14,000 (got $2500 knocked off on trading in my lancer wagon, which I was glad to see the back of) Couldn't wipe the smile off my face even if you told me my own mother had died. This thing, while stock, would chew muppets in their modded R32s and nothing is better than giving a passing wave to clowns in their SS commodores after being challenged by them at the lights. I've got plenty planned for this car by way of under bonnet tweaking, parts are fairly universal to the supra/chaser models and they're not hard to find. Proof that a monstrous engine, as well as milk and juice can come in 2 & 3 litres. If you can afford and find one, get it.

Hi guys, I recently bought a 93 Toyota Tourer V, however I need some parts to get it on the road. I was hoping someone knows where to get a power window kit for it?

I need your help to buy wood grain dash kit for a 1992 mark 2.

Is the Mark Two a reliable car? I want to buy one, but the mileage is at 200000km. I am in Zim, the car is a Grande Limited Edition 1992.

7th Nov 2010, 02:56

Got 93 Mark II Grande with 1G 2.0 and want to upgrade it to 1jz 2.5 turbo.

This car is more reliable than my friend's 99 Camry V6!!

It is a masterpiece; the way it looks, handles and drives is exceptional. I highly recommend buying this car without hesitation.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say that 6 years later (after the last comment) the JZX90 is still putting a smile on someone's face. I have a 1994 JZX90 Mark II Grande 2.5L Metallic Green in color. I really love the car. Although it has a high mileage, it is still reliable and does not break down at all. I do regular service and maintenance and it does not give any unpleasant surprises. It's comfortable and pretty damn fast.

Hello Guys,

It's been over 10 years now, still have the 1997 Mark II GF - GX100 and would like to say I love this car.

20th May 2021, 18:27

Thanks for the update, these are good cars. A friend of mine still has his 1996 Chaser Tourer V; says it's still going strong at over 150K mileage.
