Why don't you guys take your supra tt to the "world street Nationls." It's the race for the fastest street cars in the world! Anyone can race, but your car has to be a street legal or else you can't race. I go there almost every year and these v8's are mean! Some can go over 200 mph in 6-7 sec and it's street legal. So prove your cars over there before you guys bragg! Prove it at the race not the streets. Street race is very childish- that's why it's for imature teens. Just be careful when you race on the streets- your sister might be crossing the street. Careful!

How about driving your cars around a circuit, you know... with corners?

Covettes, vipers, ferraris, lambos, pantera's, 1965 cobras...etc... beat the supra tt in any corner, any circuit, drag, top speed... supra tt is just no match. Just the corvette will outperform the supra tt away!! Top speed of 186 mph, 0-60 in 4 sec, will outperform the supra tt in any manner- and that's stock from the dealer. Supra are for teens not pro. Teens like the fast and the furious crowd. The 3000gt is even faster on 0-60 than the supra. Supra is only fast comparing with other imports. Can't race the supra tt at the world street nationals because it won't even qualify. No offense, but truth hurts. So Sorry. Check out motor trend magazine- the year when supra TT came out- they all race themin all types of race. The slowests and loosers are the Supra tt and 3000gt. (The supra tt has a problem with aero dynamics at 120 mph. Check it out! Look at the motor trend archives.

Look I don't know where this last guy who posted a message got his information from maybe from the back of his frosted flakes box. Anyways I have a 94 Twin Turbo 6-Speed Supra I installed a few upgrades like a turbo/fuel/intercooler/suspension I am making over 850+ at the wheel. On the drag strip I eat up most of the domestic cars and imports. On the track I have tuned my suspension to corner perfect the only factor I have is not putting to much power to the ground. I have had two Supra in my life I still have one right now I love this car it is one of the most rounded performance cars I have ever driven. The V160 stock gear box can handle up to 900+hp and the bottom end of the engine can handle over 800+hp. So you tell me when Toyota first started to build the MKIV what where they thinking. Ill tell you the perfect car.

No offense to Supra owners. Why don't you race at " the world street nationals." You're car have to be street legal or else you can't race. However, all cars the are v8 and are capable of over 200 mph- 7 sec 1/4 mile and it's street legal. I've never seen an import that raced over there. They won't even qualify. Let's face the fact that bigger displacement is very hard to beat when it comes to torque/ hp- that's why they don't have turbo lag. Imagine if a big v8 has twin turbo or supercharged, or nitrous? So race first before you guys fight on the internet- talk is cheap- prove it at the race- See you guys at the race!

I don't know what all the fuss is about! Who's got bigger this and that! I'm from the UK and myself and friends believe the Supra is fantastic and can reach huge BHP, but on the other hand so can all these American V8,V10 etc.. It all comes down to personal choice guys. But if there was 1 car to make you all weep (sorry all you guys!) is the TVR speed 12. 8 litres of English muscle and popping out a standard 800 BHP and is drop dead SEXY!!! They are built to order so you don't see many (if any) about. It can do 240mph standard and costs as much as an 911.Shame about the realibilty as it is hand made. Whatever you choose or race good luck!!! P. S bring the 205 GTI back whoever stole it! I HATE CAR THIEVES!!!

Have you ever been the the " world street nationals? you'll be racing with hard core big block v8 fanatics! These race are for the world's fastest street legal cars. Must be street legal or else you can't race. You'll be racing with over 200 mph, 7 sec, 1/4 mile v8's!! YEs, street legal!!!See if you can race a supra over there- there's just no competition. I've never seen an import race over there-they just won't qualify- remember, hardcore v8 fanatics!! Watch the videos if you can and you'll understand what I mean. No offense, supra are for teens over here in the USA.

It must be promotional. Check out the UK scene for drag races and you will find japanese spec machines pulling the same figures quoted for these V8's etc.. I am just about to take ownership of a Supra TT and I can't wait, to say that they are for kids is a joke as they are a group 20 car. It down to personal preference how many cylinders you want, but whoever is hooked on v8's and v10's and doesn't appreciate the other types of engines is obviously trying to make up for smaller parts of his body.

Take your supra TT to the " world street nationals". See if you can even qualify. Remeber you'll be dealing with hard core v8 fanatics. Street v8s that go over 200 mph in 7 sec in a 1/4 mile. yes, it's street legal. Surpa lack torque- too much lag. You have to floor it and wait. Unlike big v8s- it's power comand!!

I own a celica GT4 and the tuneability and reliability of the japanese engines is phenomenal. Daily drivers pushing 700HP doing 1/4 miles in 10secs and that's from a 2.0l engine that is useable on a DAILY BASIS. Phenomenal cars and engines, but gimme 4wd over rwd anyday.

All you have to do is get a cheap car and enough time and money. 40k into a supra is good and one could easily be running low 10s easily, but any car can beat any other car with enough time and knowledge. I am talking about a full engine swap and everything. I am not downing supras because I have nothing, but respect for the owners and the mechanics that work on them. seriously tho, I mean if you put the right parts and the right aftermarket parts in a crx it has the same chance to be running low 10s. I must say.. I like nothing more than a good race in a fast car. I am not saying my crx will kill every car on the road, but it is still my baby.

I have a question, what are the specs on a 500hp supra? as in 0-60? And PLEASE, I'm tired of reading about the "world racing whatever event for street legal v8's," in my country, Guatemala, if you have a low profile 300hp car, you're doomed, that car WILL get destroyed. (Too many speed bumps and pot holes), and no room for full speed performance. In the U.S. if you go over 60mph you're screwed! So... if you have a car that you can race on a sircuit, which I don't, then take it! Enjoy your drive. Just stop showing off when you got JACK!

Don't hate, congratulate.

I think the Supra's are very over rated.

I own a Ralliart 3000gt with 530hp/395kw ATW and have taken out many supra's who are producing at least 100hp more than me. my car will do 10's in the 1/4 mile easly, 0 - 100kph in just 3.5 sec.

It is very comfortable (easy to drive) and corners better than any supra I've driven.

Did cost 200,000.00 to have it built though.
