"Smooth, Powerful, yet very refined"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

No Mechanical failure to the Toyota Truck To Date.

General comments?

Aggresive V6, smooth and refine transmission, good low end torque for you weekend warriors, bulletproof reliability and dependability. Seats Are comfortable, and supportive, although it does lack that extra space for work purpose if you are in the construction world. Great Beefy suspension for off road, handles abuse well and takes any road like it was made for it. A Good truck, but a little pricey compared to some larger more powerful trucks in it's class. If you are looking for a dependable truck with good features and options, great low end torque and a smooth transmission, look no further, Your truck is At Toyota.

I have just 10,000 miles on my 2004 tacoma trd. Tires are quiet, but hydro plane real easy, but are good in the snow. I wish they would have put the digital clock elsewhere. Truck has great low end power for towing. Fuel mileage was a lot better than expected. Great truck.

Been driving my 2004 Tacoma Xtracab V6 TRD for about three months now and I love it. Good power range and a great off roader. Pulled my buddies John Deer tractor out of 2 foot deep mud with almost no effort in four low. Great resale value. TRD exaust sounds great. Truck looks great.

Going around corners on a bumpy road can be a bit dodgy as the back end is very light and wants to swing out, but it's a truck not a sports car. Clock view is blocked by wiper control stalk. Radio placed too low. Squeaks and rattles develop after 2k. Stock bedliner can scratch bed.

Doublecab Model (first choice) has no manual 5-speed.
