General Comments:
Compared to the Vectra GSi this car is slow, but for a large estate car car it's like an Exocet missile.
The auto gearbox is a treat and the handling is very good.
Visibility is fine and the heated seats make a nice change during this snowy weather. And what a lovely noise the engine makes in kickdown.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I too have the 2.0 Petrol Estate and it's fine for me - no speedster but fine for commuting 5 up. I've done nearly 100,000 fairly trouble free miles. My one gripe with car is the ventilation system - I have the version with manual Aircon. In wet weather and without the aircon the car rapidly mists up. It is even worse if you use the aircon and then switch it off! I wonder if this a trait of the model or it is just mine.

We have had 4 Vauxhalls in our family - Cavalier, Nova, Carlton and currently Omega. The only one with effective heating and ventilation was the Nova. The Omega does not provide enough heat and easily mists up in damp weather. Our Ka however is excellent. If Ford can do it why can't GM?

What can I say I have had my Omega estate for 2 years in May.. Even though it is only the 2.0 16v there have been no problems covering its 62302 miles. It may be slower than the 2.5, but you can still have fun on the roundabouts. Yes I am still young and could get faster cars, but my company pushes you towards Vauxhalls. The reason I got the Omega over a Vectra GSI was towing. It may struggle up big hills, but wouldn't you towing a 23 foot Sportsboat.
People might say they are big and clumsy, but just try one out and if you're like me and like a bit of fun, try it in the rain (there is nothing like having the back end go out on you - my Vectra 2.5 could never do that).
