1997 Vauxhall Vectra SRi review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Steering play (after 3,000 miles).
Gearbox oil leak (corrected by tightening bolts).
Paintwork prone to rust on stone chips.
Noisy suspension.
Windscreen washer packed up.
General comments?
Engine is willing but isn't smooth.
Could do with a 6th gear.
Lower gears too high.
Jittery ride in back.
Good fuel economy (>30mpg average).
Crap dealers.
High service charges.
