1991 Volvo 940 GLE review from North America
"Diehard car, which with proper maintence can run forever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My Volvo was a great car. I forgot to put oil in the car, and I drove it for 2 weeks without oil, and the engine did not blow up.
However at 180000 miles I had to replace many things. Air intake manifold, A/C, radiator, coolant pump, starter, brakes of course, and other items. But this is to be expected for an older car.
Now that the repairs are all done I hate to sell it because the motor and the transmission are sound. Good Car. Looks great too, and if you don't want car payments, this is still cheaper than a lease or payments. Insurance is $51 a month and it runs on cheap gas.
General comments?
Repairs on a Volvo 940 still are cheaper than payments, and it looks great with that body style.
