I purchased a 2000 S-Type V8 about 2 years ago ... Fortunately for me, it came with the Jaguar extended warranty ... Within a year of buying the car, the transmission had to be replaced

that's nuts ... You must not have owned a Jaguar X-Type ... I kept taking it in due to transmission issues, they kept giving it back to me, telling me that there was not an issue

I have had talks with Jaguar customer service and was told I am out of luck ... If you are even thinking about buying an X-Type, I would advise that you read every post carefully ... I still like the looks and the fact that it`s a Jag, but not only is the quality horrible, but customer service is just as bad ... The transmission is listed as a sealed for life unit maintenance free
