First of all, the car makes a ticking noise in the motor. My dad says it is the lifters. I tried using a high grade of oil, but that didn't work!!! If anyone has any ideas please fill free to respond. The brakes squeak really bad. Beside those two problems my car is OK.
I got this car in 2000. I have been all over the state in it. I love the car. I change the oil every 3000 miles. I had the BOSE system replaced. It was a pain. You have to replace everything when you are switching over to another system. I'm a student and this is my second car. Besides the ticking and the squeaky brakes I love it.
It may not be the lifters I own a 1991 se and I had a ticking noise when I accelerated coming from the motor. Come to find out it was the exhaust manifold gaskets. gaskets are cheap, but to get to them is not, so labor is a pain try that...
I have a 1992 SE and I have been noticing some problems. First, as I push the gas I hear almost like a lag in the engine. From the exhaust, it does not sound like a smooth rev like it used to be.
Any ideas? By the way, I have no experience dealing with car repairs.
