"Worst van ever made"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Engine blew at 39,000km took 6 weeks to get it back

A/C worked for 2 months after purchase

Windshield cracked for no reason from left to right

Wheel rod in brakes locked and burned at 101000km took 4 and a half weeks to get it back as parts had to be shipped from Korea.

Rust on lift-gate and at sliding doors

Side trim is coming off

Lots of squeaking in cabin

Engine blown again at 109,000km only 79,000km after engine replaced first time.

General comments?

Will never buy a KIA ever again.

It was a waste of time and money

Would never suggest anyone to ever buy a KIA

I just want to get rid of it and buy something made in North America

KIA doesn't stand behind their products what should that tell us?

My 2002 Sedona has also been nothing, but problems... to date here is the list... power steering went out completely while driving, the harmonic balancer came loose from the crank shaft and shreaded all the major drive belts (you can't make this up!), the #2 engine cylinder blew,2 catalytic convertors and 2 oxygen sensors were replaced, drivers side seat belt problems, the AC has gone out 3 times (each time for a different major problem, the factory tires blew constantly until I replaced with Goodyear, stereo was faulty and required replacement, there were problems with door handles and cup holders, and ohhh so much more!

I wouldn't buy a new Sedona unless someone gives me proof that KIA has done something about their engine quality especially head gaskets that seem to last a couple of years each that is if you are lucky. There are other issues with these cars as well. OK you have the power-train warranty but this one says nothing about how long it's gonna take to fix something like almost a month for a new head gasket. I'd say my Sedona has been in the shop for like three months in total. OK things gets fixed but it takes ages. When the head gasket blew for the second time the tech said please stand in line and grinned.

Warranty coverage isn't what you think either like it does not cover service on AC and the Sedonas need AC refillings at a regular interval.

All you have to do is check Consumer Reports and some other places and see KIA has improved 10 fold. Yes they built crap in the beginning, but now they are in the top 5 as far as reliability. Please check them out they are becoming very good vehicles.
