"Unsurpassed reliability and quality"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Cv boots have been replaced at service time.

General comments?

Almost unbelievable reliability and durability. Still on the original clutch/battery/radiator after 327,000 kms (202740 miles) and despite abuse on metal roads, snow and ice plus off road, it is using nil oil between changes @ 10,000 km intervals.

Was due for replacement in 1996 but with 100% reliability record (which is more than can be said for the new Audis, Fords and Vauxhalls at work!) and a high quality paint finish, it is pointless replacing an asset that will not depreciate any further and still drives exceedingly well with outstanding grip and handling in all conditions.

I have to agree on your comments about the great reliability. I have two cars, a 1990 Subaru LS 4 door with front wheel drive and five speed transmission and a 1997 Outback. It is now June of 2001 and both cars are running just fine. The 90 has had the clutch and radiator replaced and new struts put in the front (New York City potholes). The air conditioning compressor has died and the sunroof doesn't work anymore, but oh that engine! Still smooth with a great willingness to rev right up there. The performance is still great.
