2002 Trailblazer LTZ. I too have had the jet engine noise. I just spent $1600.00 for the 100,000 GM recommended mainteinance. I mentioned the "jet engine" noise they said they would check it out. Found nothing wrong they said. Still doing it and now two months later the fan wobbles and I figure the water pump is going out. Great service Chevrolet. So much for that recommended check up.

2002 Trailblazer LTZ fan clutch 89000M. Purchased at Oreilly for $200.00. Doing repair myself. If at least GM does nothing about the problem with this component, they should look for ways of improving it to keep their reputation and I'm sure they will. I will always own GM products because I know that everything they make does not have problems and I enjoy the aesthetic attributes. Have had several during my lifetime from 1951 to current and realize that as with everything else, there are good ones and bad ones. Warranties are written for the reason that things just don't last forever whether we want them to or not. Don't get me wrong, I'm not proud of the problem but it if were my name owning the company, I would be sure to make improvements going forward. Good luck to all of you with this problem.

I own a 2002 GMC E. It now has 138k miles and in reality has been great. But I had a fan clutch go bad at 37,000 miles. Dealer agreed to buy the part and I paid labor.

Have any of you replaced the stabilizer links in front? I have had " clunk" on rough roads for awhile and have read that this is the problem but that they are easy to change.
