Hi, I have a 2008 H3, 67,000 miles only and have misfire 2. They checked everything and are now stating the engine needs to be replaced.

I agree there should be a lawsuit. We were on our way to a store when right in the middle of driving the car just stopped. If it hadn't been during the evening in a 30mph speed limit, we would've been in a serious accident, especially since we were going to jump on a highway just before. I'm grateful that we didn't.

AAA transported the H3 to the mechanic who gave us the bad news the next day that it was the same issue all of you are having, and the cost is $4000 and it could be higher depending on what's underneath. It's ridiculous! As if we have that kind of money to spend just like that. Even if I did, why would I, especially after reading everyone's comments. How could I ever feel safe in it?

Very unhappy in NY.

You guys need to report this to the Ripoff Report; there are plenty of law firms that will eat this up.

I too have an 07 Hummer H3.

Replaced the coil packs, new CV axles and rebuilt GM’s plastic parts transfer case... that got me about 3000km, then had the head replaced... tech installed it wrong so the next step was a new engine... now I’m about 1500km on the “new to me” engine, and same problem... GM has this same engine in the Canyon... The Canyon got its tech update and GM warrantied the faulty gasket and the head... they also spent a lot of money to make sure Hummer was not included, as not in that package I assume, as they were going to drop the whole lineup.

Yes this 100% should be GMC’s problem... instead of paying the customer to protect a dead brand, they paid the lawyers to make it go away... I’ll never own another GM... guess that's all we can do...
