1991 Mazda MX6 GT review from Australia and New Zealand
"My comments should explain my thoughts"
General comments?
To anyone who owns or is about to own a Mazda MX-6. I have just bought this car and have a grin on my face from ear from to ear. I am a car dealer myself, but I have only driven a 96 model MX-6 before. Though after having a fang in this little beast (91 model GT), I must say...
The performance, comfort, and options of such an early model car (todays standards involved), I believe it still a true driving machine. You must have quite some skill to pre meditate what this car will do. The whole aspect of an all wheel steer, front wheel drive turbo, may sound like childs play to the un-suspecting... Add an automatic transmission and it all sounds all to easy. Almost like this car should drive itself and perform without any feedback from the driver. WRONG. This is a drivers car, watch the lag. It disappears quick, the turbo comes in quick, it steers quick, and so on. I love it. I almost forgot what it was like to really drive a car.
P.S Post 91 model MX-6 are completely different, smooth power delivery, non turbo of course. A much more practical option if you like to keep your pulse down. Funky styling, but a complete different car.
