1999 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"Even for free it's too expensive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Intake gaskets at 35,000 miles, $750.
Alternator at 45,000 miles.
Complete all 4 struts at 50,000 miles.
Several brake jobs, including rotors.
Spent a small fortune trying to get rid of off idle stumble, shop refunded my money as long as I never bring car to him again.
A/C chronic problems.
General comments?
Very uncomfortable, and backseats useless for anyone over 5 feet tall.
Rides bad, handles worse.
Been a royal pain in my backside since I got it. My mother gave it to me for free, it wasn't worth it.
Three shops and two dealers have given up trying to get an annoying stumble out of it. They've thrown parts at it like crazy, nothing helps, even a little.
