1988 Jaguar XJ6 review from UK and Ireland
"A fantastic luxury performance car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had a problem with the sensor on the dashboard which keeps flashing Anti-lock braking system failure and brake pad failure - all had been checked, but the sensor wasn't repaired as I was going to sell it soon anyway. (and it would have cost a fair few quid)
General comments?
I had this car for about a year and I thouroughly enjoyed it.
On the motorway it was effortless you just glide along the road.
But when you want that power you put your foot to the floor and that humongous front end rises, the arse dips down and you're away.
There is a bit of turbo lag, but that's to be expected - it's an old car.
I now own a nissan 200sx '99 and that is just as quick (maybe even quicker).
I was reluctant to sell it, but it had covered 145,000 miles so it had to go.
Great all round car for daily use.
