1992 Ford Escort Ghia review from Spain
"Better while it gets older"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cooling system seems to make the engine run too cold, I know it's a common problem with zeta engines in my country and I just gave up and accept to see the water temp indicator in blue zone. I changed thermostat and antifreeze fluid 4 times...
Noisy hatch back lots of grinds from the fifth door.
General comments?
Dashboard plastics keeps its shape under the burning sun of the summers and air conditioner is superb (in my old montego it was a nightmare).
The battery bornes don't fit to standard batteries and the for ford-only ones are expensive and difficult to find.
The rear semirigid axe doesn't work fine and makes it's job in a too different way than the front suspension.
