1994 Ford Ranger review from North America
"Extremely reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tail pipe rusted so badly it just fell off.
Speedometer bounces around after 55mph.
No pickup at all on highway or up hills.
Shocks go very easily.
General comments?
In general, this car is very reliable. At 133k miles it has never needed a repair to the engine or transmission (I know the previous owners).
The paint is still shiny and brand new looking, all though the interior wore very quickly and now looks very dumpy, requiring seat covers.
Shocks need to be replaced quite frequently.
Only get 12mpg though, very bad especially with the current gas prices.
Overall in reliability, it's great. I haven't had to do even one mechanical repair since I've gotten it.
It's very small for space inside, but it runs like a dream!
