2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS review from North America
"Nice car, has some bugs, runs like a Deer"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
- Trim repairs.
- Liner had to be replaced.
- Replaced rocker panel.
All of the above within the first 10 days of delivery. Excuse from CMS dealership was (they don't make em like
they used to)
- Flicking idiot lights on dash when
driving (not just one, a whole bunch
at once) On-Star could not zero in on
the problem.
This was repaired by simply replacing a the nut on the junction box with a locking nut as road vibrations was causing separation and arching. This may be the cause of other owners experiencing flickering lights because once the idiot lights come on in the dash (for no reason) the car is running on the battery, not the alternator.
General comments?
Aside from cosmetic trim, liner and the electrical problems the car performs well.
Do notice a slight buzz sound a few seconds after staring the car and in
motions when the steering wheel is turned.
Ride is firm and can feel the road has a distinctive "tung" sound from the tires when going over bumps at highway speeds.
Fully loaded GLS, package with PCS.
Dark Ocean Teal with Gold accents
and factory chrome wheels.
Only add-ons was a K&N air filter and a 12 CD changer in the trunk.
Summer driven only, stored on blocks in winter.
