2002 Dodge Ram Pickup 4x4 review from North America
"One of the best, if not the best, values on the road"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
"check engine" light came on at 45,000 miles because I had forgotten to fasten the fuel cap. It was easily reset by cycling the ignition 10 times per the shop manual.
No other issues. Paid $22,000 USD brand new.
General comments?
This is the cheap farm version with a small V8, full 4 door crew cab, manual transmission, rubber floor mats, manual crank windows, manual locks, and four wheel drive.
Besides changing the fluids twice as often as called for, I've done absolutely nothing to it and absolutely nothing has gone wrong. Tires have 66,000 miles on them and still have tread.
It has been the most reliable vehicle I've owned, including Lexus LS400.
