1993 Chevrolet Cavalier review from North America
"As years went by it showed its age"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head gasket had to be replaced twice.
Transmission - torque converter failed, did not replace due to cost, ran without it.
Wiper fluid pump replaced, wiper motor.
Alternator, radiator, hoses all had to be replaced.
Cassette deck failed.
Heater blower motor worked on high only and only from center dash vents. No air through windshield defroster.
Seatbelt buckle broke, center console came loose.
Rust on front of hood, bottom door skins all rusted. Trunk interior rusted, holes in floor.
General comments?
Car ran well until warranty ran out then the repair costs began to build. Every few months something else went wrong with the car.
Car power and ride was sufficient for basic needs of point A to B driving.
